Meet Joel, the owner of this immaculate 1977 Holden HZ Kingswood which appears in May in our Club Plus Calendar. We’ve asked Joel to share some more details on his immaculate ride!
I’ve owned for 6 years. It took 3 years to build while I was at University, starting from a rolling shell. It’s a 1977 HZ Holden Kingswood Station wagon, which was originally a 6 cylinder car.
The car now has a Statesman front and Premier trim as well as pressed GTS guards. It also has deleted side markers and badges giving it a cleaner look.
The Suspension & Wheels:
Car rides on Ultra Low and Super Low King Springs as well as 17×8″ Streeter show wheels.
Inside, it’s fitted with a GTS dash and steering wheel, Statesman door cards and armrest, bucket seats and a B&M shifter.
- Engine is a mild 350 Chevy, with Edelbrock alloy heads, running on straight LPG
- Alloy radiator and thermo fans. 2.5″ dual exhaust
- Th400 3 speed auto
- 3.08 10bolt lsd
Keep an eye out in June as we’ll talk with Jack Dolley about his 1965 Morris Mini Cooper S!
