Tim Slade is ready to put a tough Ipswich SuperSprint behind him and focus on the second half of the V8 Supercars season.
The Queensland Raceway event marks the mid-point of the championship, and after mixed results Slade is looking to stronger results in the Supercheap Auto Commodore in the second part of the season.
“It was one of the toughest days of my career. It was really tough to qualify 25th and then finish 19th,” Slade said.
“We didn’t have the car speed this weekend, and it was a really challenging day.”
The series returns to New South Wales for round eight, the Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint.
“I really enjoying racing at Sydney Motorsport Park, but we need a stronger car for the remaining rounds,” Slade said.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do, but we’ll push on and get the #47 Commodore back up to speed.”
The Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint takes place from August 21-23.
